The idea of an "inner monster" has to do with consideration of parts of ourselves we might overlook or perhaps undervalue, even hate. We all have parts of ourselves that feel out of our control, or exist as a separate part of who we truly are. 

Through the process of thinking and writing some thoughts down on paper and then creating a drawing and eventually a physical, and possibly adorable, version of a part of our personalities that we may not understand or feel frustrated by- we can come to an acceptance and maybe even a place of gratitude. 

Not only that, through this creative act, we are engaging in an important part of what it means to be an artist. It's the place where art comes from, even if you never considered yourself to have a creative bone in your body.

Below you can see my process of creating cuddly pillow in the form of the fibroid-ridden, malformed, ten pound uterus that I had surgically removed in 2019. I asked my surgeon to take a photo once it was removed and she did. So for me, the idea of an inner monster was something that kind of was an unwelcome creature (or creatures) growing inside of me, using one of my organs as a home.

This charm might help you with some magic spells or concentration. Use for good luck, protection or to commune with (chicken) spirits who might assist you in your needs. More than anything, this charm is sure to scare away certain people in your life, so it can be useful. In this case I might recommend hanging finished piece somewhere intimate and unsettling, like the bedroom or above the toilet.
